Mode of Application / Agronomy
Soil : Soils should be fertile and well drained. Sandy loam to black soil, rich in organic matter> 20 % are preferred.
Climate : TC Pomegranate prefers cool winter and dry, hot summer.
Variety : Bhagwa or Sinduri.
Season of Planting : Feb - March (summer), June - July (monsoon) and September- October (Early Winter).
Spacing : Spacing of 5 M x 4 M is desirable for proper growth of crop plants.
Days to Flowering : 1year to 1 1/2 years.
Harvesting : Red Pearl starts flowering after 1 1/2 to 2 years after 4-5 months of flowering, fruits are mature for harvesting.
Yield* : For initial 3 years 20 to 50 fruits per plant, which increase up to 150-200 fruits after 5 years. (30-40 kg/tree),
